To vote in the City of North Vancouver election as a resident elector, you must:

• Be a Canadian Citizen;

• Be 18 years of age or older on the day of registration or on General Voting Day;

• Be a resident of the City of North Vancouver on the day of registration;

• Be a resident of Eslha7án̓ Mission 1 Reserve 

• Have been a resident of B.C. for at least 6 months immediately before the day of registration; and

• Not be disqualified from voting in an election.

Corporations, businesses and permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrants) who have not yet become Canadian Citizens are not permitted to vote.

In order to cast a ballot, eligible voters must be registered. Advance registration for resident electors is now closed. If you are not on the Voters' List, you can register at a voting location. 

If you are not on the voter’s list, you can register at a voting place during Advance Voting, on General Voting Day, or when requesting a mail ballot package.

To register, you must show two pieces of identification that prove your identity and residential address. One piece must include your signature (e.g., driver’s licence, BC Services Card). If neither document shows your residential address, you may make a solemn declaration.

Non-resident property electors must show two pieces of identification (at least one with a signature) to prove identity and eligibility in relation to the property (e.g., property tax notice, certificate of title). If applicable, written consent from the majority of property owners must be provided. Only one owner may register as a non resident property elector.

When registering at a voting location, it's recommended you complete the Registration Application Form and Multiple Property Owner Consent Form (if applicable) before coming to the voting location.

Please also bring two pieces of identification: one showing your name and current address, and one showing your name and signature. 

Election Day is Saturday, October 17th. You can also vote by mail before October 1st and at Advanced Voting on October 7th, 10th, 13th, 14th, and 15th.
